Severe weather hitting parts of the south today with a tornado watch from Mississippi into Alabama. Air travel disruptions beginning to rise around the country. FlightAware now reporting more than 2600 delays but still not many cancellations on what's expected to be the busiest day for Thanksgiving travel.

The president also saying he thinks progress has been made on ending the war in Ukraine. And he just Posted the original 28 point peace plan from the US has been fine tuned with additional input from both sides and only a few remaining points of disagreement.

He goes on to say in hopes of finalizing this peace plan, I've directed my special envoy, Steve Witkoff to meet with President Putin in Moscow. And at the same time, Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll will be meeting with the Ukrainians. I will be briefed on all progress made.

Washington, D.C. mayor Muriel Bowser just announcing she will not seek re election. She has served three terms. Posting a video on social media confirming the decision not to seek a fourth. An Oklahoma lawsuit opposing mandatory Bible instruction in the state's schools is thrown out.

The Oklahoma State Supreme Court says it will no longer consider the lawsuit against ex state school Superintendent Ryan Walters. When he was in office, Walters issued a directive that mandated Bible teachings in classrooms from a specific edition of the holy book. A complete changeover of the state education board led to Walter's resignation in September. Lindell Fields, who took over the job, rescinded Walter's policy. The state Supreme Court voted 6 to 2 to dismiss the legal action. One justice recused herself. Walters reacted, saying he was disappointed the state was moving away from the project.

Gernall Scott, Fox News Nigeria's government says more than 20 schoolgirls kidnapped earlier this month are now safe.

24 schoolgirls abducted at gunpoint from their school in northwestern Nigeria have been rescued, according to government officials there. The girls were taken by armed assailants on November 17. Officials have not shared the details of how the children were recovered. Their conditions are also unknown, only being described as accounted for. The rescue comes just days after 50 abducted students escaped their captors in a separate kidnapping incident involving a Catholic school. More than 250 children and teachers remain captive in that incident.
