Travel headaches and more storms ahead. I'm Carmen Roberts, FOX News. Millions woke up to winter wonderland this holiday weekend, but the snowstorm has also caused a big travel pile up. Fox Weather's Robert Ray has more from New York City.
B
All the folks in Bryant park walking around enjoying the snow. About four and a half inches fell in Central Park. That is not the 8 inches we were expecting, but it's the most snow since 2022. So if you love snow, here's all of this is going to melt at some point tomorrow into Monday. We're going to have a big thaw tonight and then temperatures go up and then a rain sleet mix coming in and that's going to make a mess of all the beauty that the snow dropped. Unfortunately, travel is also really not pleasant. The three major airports here in New York are reporting massive delays and cancellations.

FlightAware shows nearly 5,000 delayed flights and 845 cancellations across the country so far today. Meantime, an ice storm knocked out power to tens of thousands in the Midwest and another storm system is set to move in tomorrow. Ukrainian President Zelensky's meeting with Canada's Prime Minister Carney today and will hold a conference call with European leaders this afternoon as he pushes for a peace plan with security guarantees. Tomorrow he will meet with President Trump at Mar a Lago.

There will be no deal between Ukraine and Russia without approval from President Trump. The president making that clear in a Friday interview with Politico telling the outlet Zelensky doesn't have anything until I approve it. As the US tries to put the finishing touches on a 20 point peace plan, Ukraine's president says he's willing to establish a demilitarized economic zone in the Donbass region if Russia agrees to withdraw troops, something Moscow has thus far rejected, instead demanding Ukraine cede that territory. Lawmakers left Washington without fixing skyrocketing costs for some health care premiums as Obamacare subsidies expire. But some lawmakers believe Congress can address health care in 2026. It's an election year and that could compel action. Democrats withheld their votes for government funding unless Congress renewed expiring tax credits. And Democrats aren't certain if they'll run the same political play on health care as a January 30th spending deadline looms. Some Republicans want to go it alone on health care. They hope to use a special process to bypass a Senate filibuster and pass their own health care bill and campaign on that.
A
And GOP Congressman Brian Donalds of Florida says his party needs a health care plan before the deadline. President Trump wants to deliver health care funding directly to Americans in health savings accounts. Three officers are wounded after a shooting at an Idaho sheriff's office today.

A man armed with several guns opened fire in the lobby of a sheriff's office in Idaho. Three people suffered minor injuries during this incident, and law enforcement fatally shot the suspect during this attack. This all happened in Wallace, Idaho. That's about an hour east of Spokane. Was Washington. Authorities say the gunman showed up to the sheriff's office and shot two bystanders outside of the building while they were sitting in a truck. The other woman was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle and she was shot in the leg as well. Authorities say the suspect went into the lobby of the sheriff's office and opened fire there, too, striking a local police officer. All three victims, the officer and the two women, suffered minor injuries.
