No peace deal. I'm Debra Valentine, Fox News. The U.S. and Iran did not reach a deal following 21 hours of talks in Pakistan. The vice president said Tehran did not agree to the US Position that Tehran not possess the capability to produce or have nuclear weapons.
U.S. Vice President
We need to see an affirmative commitment that they will not seek a nuclear weapon and they will not seek the tools that would enable them to quickly achieve a nuclear weapon.

This comes after 21 hours of high stakes negotiations in Islamabad, Pakistan. The peace talks are aimed at preserving a two week old cease fire in the Iran war now entering its seventh week. Vance cited a lack of commitment from Iran to abandon nuclear weapons development. Iranian state media blamed, quote, excessive demands from the US for the breakdown.

writing that the USS Michael Murphy and the USS Frank E. Peterson are searching for any Iranian mines while trying to establish a clear and safe path. Underwater drones will also be used in the coming days. Now the Strait of Hormuz is considered very treacherous right now. As the New York Times reports, Iran may not be able to fully detect where the Iranian regime may have dropped mines. Centcom writing, today we begin the process of establishing a new passage and we will share this safe pathway with the maritime industry soon to encourage the free flow of commerce. Iran's blockage has created multiple global problems including a shortage of jet fuel.

Those three victims, all of them seniors, are recovering after that wild morning underground that sent strap hangers into a mass panic. It all ended with that man armed with a machete being shot dead by police, all of it on foot holding inside busy Grand Central terminal. Cops say 44 year old Anthony Griffin boarded a Manhattan bound 7 train from Queens. When he arrived on the platform, cops say he took out his machete and slashed an 84 year old man. Then he went upstairs to the 4, 5 and 6 platform and attacked again, this time shouting Lucifer over and over again as he slashed a 65 year old man and a 70 year old woman. When cops arrived, Police Commissioner Jessica Tish says they repeatedly asked Griffin to drop his machete.
