Fox's Alex Hogan reporting. President Trump heads to Beijing this week for a high stakes summit with China's leader.
Alex Hogan
This week's trip to China will be the first by an American president since President Trump traveled to Beij back in 2017. It comes amid trade tensions and the ongoing war in Iran. President Trump has met several times with China's President Xi Jinping and both leaders have expressed a commitment to fostering a strong bilateral relationship. That relationship has been strained at times with tit for tat tariffs amid negotiations over a long term trade deal.
