In Santa Barbara County, Governor Gavin Newsom's office writing, quote, this is federally managed land and these crews are working hard. The question is whether the Trump administration, which gutted the forest service by 16% and left it in disarray, has given them everything they need. California gubernatorial candidate Steve Hilton responded by saying, quote, this is truly sick from Gavin Newsom. He just won't take responsibility for anything.

The IPO is expected to raise a record amount of money valuing Elon Musk Co. At up to $2 trillion. SpaceX plans to use the money artificial intelligence data centers in space. The IPO is likely to be the first of three potential mega offerings this year with OpenAI and Anthropic both having their sights on the public market. While the details of the series finale have not been revealed, the episodes leading up to tonight's finale included performances from David Byrne and Bruce Springsteen, an interview with Steven Spielberg and appearances from his fellow late night hosts including Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon, who said their shows will go dark tonight in honor of Colbert's final show.
