Jeff Paul, Republicans struggled Thursday to find the votes to dism legislation that would force President Trump to withdraw from the conflict with Iran. As it became clear GOP leaders wouldn't have the numbers to defeat the bill, they called off the planned vote on it. Members of both the Senate and House have left Capitol Hill for the long Memorial Day recess. So no new votes are expected till they return in June. The DNC's autopsy of President Trump's 2024 election victory largely blames former President Biden for fail support his VP Kamala Harris. That report also seems to give the former president a bit of a pass to his debate performance. Quoting now the debate obviously changed many things. motorsports world shaken by a sudden loss. Busch was hospitalized earlier this week with a severe illness. His family has asked for privacy now. The week prior, he was battling a sinus cold. He radioed for medical help during a race. On May 10, his family, NASCAR and Richard Childress Racing released a joint statement on his tragic loss. They said the entire NASCAR family is heartbroken. They described Bush as fierce and passionate. They said his sharp wit and competitive spirit sparked a deep emotional connection with race fans of every age. forecasts are out and US Government meteorologists are predicting an easier time this year for the U.S. eastern season.

Forecasters at NOAA say the forming of an El Nino will make for fewer hurricanes in the Atlantic this summer, but likely more cyclones will form in the Central and eastern Pacific. NOAA administrator Neil Jacobs advises a low number of expected storms doesn't mean much when one strikes. Where you live, it's very important to understand that it only takes one. President Trump called off signing ceremony Thursday for a new order on artificial intelligence. The president said he was postponing the signing because he didn't like what he saw in the order's text. He announced the change hours before the event was scheduled to take place in the Oval Office saying, quote, we are leading China, we're leading everyone.
