President Trump says he has no interest in overseeing a major renovation of the Kennedy center unless he is free to bring the institution back physically, financially and artistically. In a social media post, the president says his administration will now return control of the performing arts venue back to Congress. The move follows a ruling by a federal judge in D.C. ordering President President Trump's name to be removed from the Kennedy Center's facade, finding the center's board did not have the authority to unilaterally change the name. The judge also put on hold plans to close the center for two years during renovations at the White House.
