Hilton leading Xavier Becerra and Tom Steyer and other primaries. Democrat Josh Turek and GOP's Ashley Hinson will compete for a pivotal U.S. senate seat in Iowa. They're looking to fill the seat vacated by incumbent Joni Ernst, who's retiring. The GOP considers that seat pivotal to retain a Senate majority. And President Trump has named Bill Pulte, the head of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, to be acting director of the National Intelligence, replacing Tulsi Gabbard, who resigned last month after revealing that her husband has cancer. Lawmakers, including some Republicans like Senator John Cornyn of Texas, are questioning Pulte's qualifications, including his perceived lack of national security experience. A permanent replacement for Gabbard, however, does require Senate approval. America's listening to Fox News.

the United States launching new airstrikes against Iran, claiming they are in self defense.
U.S. Central Command Spokesperson
U.S. central Command says Iran launched several ballistic missiles toward regional neighbors. However, all failed to hit their intended targets, explaining two Iranian missiles fired at Kuwait fell short or broke apart en route and three missiles launched at Bahrain were immediately intercepted. US Forces also shot down three one way attack drones launched by Iran toward civilian mariners that were rightfully transitioning regional waters. The agency goes on to say it conducted self defense strikes on an Iranian military ground control station on Kesham island, noting no U.S. personnel were harmed and forces remain vigilant and ready to defend against unwarranted Iranian aggression during the ongoing ceasef.

Kristin Goodwin, Fox News, Wade announcing Wednesday that it suspended commercial flights after an Iranian drone attack hit that country's airport injuring several people. Acting Attorney General Todd Blanch testifying to lawmakers Tuesday about the so called anti weaponization fund, saying it has officially been dropped.

The fund was announced just a couple of weeks ago after President Trump decided to drop his $10 billion lawsuit against the IRS after an employee there leaked his tax returns. It would have given any and all American who believed that they were a victim of government weaponization a ch at least file a financial claim. Last week, a federal judge in Virginia ruled the fund must be paused while she sorted through legal issues on Capitol Hill. Democrats want to force votes on a measure that would outlaw the fund or a similar fund in the future. Blanche says the part of the settlement with Trump protecting the president and his family from retroactive IRS audits is not going away.
