We had a church tent collapse out here on a football field. It did result in one casualty. Plus 11 more people were sent to the hospital and are still being treated. Another 11 were released from the local hospital. The cause for this seems to be a group of strong storms that rolled through the area. Now hundreds of people were under the tent at the time of this. They were celebrating the church's 20th anniversary celebration. And we were told the pastor was in the process of evacuating the people, but it was not early enough.
Debra Valentine
Acting Chief Johnston says the church had all the proper permits and the tent passed inspection by Bedford county officials earlier in the week. I'm Debra Valentine. This is Fox News.
