We've seen the helicopters patrolling the river. We now know from the city manager that they're putting boots on the ground school style. They've got people walking the length of the river looking for victims, hoping for survivors. They're aided by people with local knowledge of where debris gets hung up when the river floods. The number of campers missing is 27. And that is that group of girls who had been attending the Camp Mystic, All Girls Christian Camp. We know that some deceased have been located. There really isn't much reason to be optimistic about those missing girls. However, Congressman Chip Roy tells me there have been miraculous stories that of survival dozens still missing.

The Carolina is bracing for a tropical storm. Chantal.
Chantal
The majority of this system, the impacts will be confined to extreme northeastern South Carolina into much of North Carolina. So the track still takes it into the Grand Strand area as a tropical storm. Top winds will be about 50. Now. The worst impacts are going to be well to the east of the center. So right near the center may not see much bad weather at all. Going to be windy, but looks like the majority of the rain and the gusty winds and the possible tornadoes will be well to the east of the center up here towards the Wilmington area. And then during the day as the system makes landfall and moves inland, it is going to weaken very rapidly down to a tropical depression as it gets near the Florence area and then a remnant low as it moves through parts of North Carolina.
