Efforts to end the war in Ukraine continuing today. I'm Sue Guzman. FOX News. President Trump will meet with Ukraine's President Zelensky today at the White House at a meeting with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. Fox's Jill NATO with a look at some of the weekend reaction to the summit.

Feelings about the president's meeting with Putin appear to be divided down party lines. Republican Senator Eric Schmidt of Missouri told Fox News just getting Putin to talk about negotiations was an accomplishment.

President Trump on Truth Social responding to the criticism, arguing he did not suffer a major defeat in his meeting with Putin in the US as has been reported by some media outlets and commenting on Truth Social, he also said Ukraine can end the war immediately by dropping demands to join NATO and abandoning plans to try to reclaim Crimea. Hurricane Erin continuing on its path through the Atlantic, it has now picked up steam. It's a category with 130 mile an hour winds.

Fox's Ashley Stromeier Hurricane Erin continues to lash the Caribbean with damaging winds and heavy rain. Erin's outer bands have already knocked out power to nearly 150,000 people in Puerto Rico. And while it's not forecast to make landfall, the storm is expected to double or even triple in size. That could bring life threatening surf and rip currents to the east coast by midweek.
