He and other governors along the US east coast are closing beaches and banning ocean swimming as Hurricane Aaron prepares to pass by the US and create dangerous, possibly life threatening beach conditions. Fox Weather meteorologist Mike Seidel is in North Carolina where the Outer Banks are expected to experience the worst effects.

Erin's out in the Atlantic pushing past the Florida coast as it heads north with 100 mile an hour winds. But those winds are expected to strengthen. Red flag warnings are up in Southern California where dangerous heat is expected today through Saturday, raising health and wild concerns. It's likely to reach 100 degrees in the valley today and 114 in Palm Springs, Louisiana Mayor Karen Bass agreed to delay the city's after action report on the historic Palisades fire. In a statement, Bass said that she is complying with a DOJ request to avoid interfering with the ongoing federal investigation. The White House clarifies that any U.S. support for the security of Ukraine after a peace deal with Russia will not include boots on the ground. But we can certainly help in the coordination and perhaps provide other means of security guarantees to our European allies. Press Secretary Caroline Levitt says that might include the use of US Air power. US Special envoy Steve Witkoff says now that Hamas has accepted a cease fire proposal, things should move forward.

For sanctuary cities and states to confirm whether they will eliminate those policies and cooperate with the Trump administration on immigration. Boston's mayor making her position crystal clear. In addition to Boston, the DOJ has listed cities like Philadelphia, New York and Chicago that must lay out steps to eliminate laws and policies that impede federal immigration enforcement or face lawsuits. Cuts to federal funding and an influx of ice agents. One of the world's tallest trees is on fire in Oregon. The Derner firm burning near the state's southern coast is more than 325ft tall and estimated to be more than 450 years old. Firefighters are working to put out the fire, which started Saturday, but they say they're still detecting heat within a cavity in the tree trunk nearly 300ft above ground. Walmart is recalling frozen, rather frozen shrimp over possible radioactive contamination.

The frozen raw shrimp under the Great Value brand is sold in 13 states. The FDA asked Walmart to pull three lots of it after a radioactive isotope was detected in shipping containers and a sample of breaded shrimp imported from Indonesia. FDA officials say if you have recently purchased raw frozen shrimp from Walmart that matches the description, throw it away. The level of the radioactive isotope in the frozen breaded shrimp was far lower than FDA intervention levels. But the agency said avoiding potentially contaminated products could reduce exposure to low level radiation that could lead to health problems over time.
