Still searching for the gunman. I'm Sue Guzman. Fox News search continues. The gunman who shot and killed conservative activists and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk Wednesday. Fox's Matt Finn reports from Orem, Utah.

Two suspects were taken into custody earlier today. They were questioned and they were released. So the FBI is fully supporting and co leading this investigation along with local law enforcement here on the ground. And Fox News has learned that police have been going door to door in neighborhood not far from campus asking residents if they have seen anyone they do not recognize. Now the governor here, Spencer Cox, he calls today shooting a political assassination. The FBI says the shooter was dressed in all dark clothing and potentially shot from a roof here on campus.

No one understood or had the heart of the youth in the United States better than Charlie Kirk, president Trump wrote in a truth social post announcing the political activist's death. The president wrote, kirk was loved and admired by all, especially me. President Trump says he and the first lady send their sympathies to Kirk's beautiful wife Erica and his family. Kirk was the CEO and founder of Turning Point usa, a youth organization that reached out to students to support Republican and conservative candidates and causes at the White House. President Trump has reportedly halted the deportation of hundreds of South Korean workers taken into custody at an immigration enforcement raid that's at the Hyundai LG battery plant in Georgia. The Financial Times reports he's allowing them to remain in the country so they can train Americans. US Authorities said some of the detained workers had crossed the US Border illegally. Others had expired visas. Newly leaked audio giving insight about the suspect charged in the deadly stabbing on a train in North Carolina, a crime that's captivated the nation. Fox's Alexis McAdams reports from Charlotte.

His sister went in the other day. She talked to him inside of the jail. She asked him a couple of questions and she recorded it. And that now leaked audio telling him, you know, why'd you do this? Why'd you pick Arena Zarutska? And he specifically said, I don't know what happened. It sure wasn't me. Even though he said he had an injury on his hand, he blamed something inside of him that he says just took over. Decarlos Brown Jr. Has been charged with murder here. He has a lengthy rap sheet. This guy, he's been in and out of prison at least 14. Prior arrests here. Less than a month before this murder, Brown was supposed to have a mental health exam, but according to court documents, it never happened. Local leaders say just highlights a revolving door.

President Trump calling for the man to receive the death penalty. Shooting at a suburban Denver high school, leaving two students critically wounded. Shooting taking place about 12:30pm Wednesday at Evergreen High School in Evergreen, about 30 miles west of Denver. Police say the male student who carried out the shooting died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. He has not been identified and there's no word on a motive. Oracle's co founder Larry Ellison has taken the title of the world's richest man from longtime holder Elon Musk. That's according to wealth Tracker Bloomberg. The 81 year old Ellison now worth $393 billion, several billion more than Musk. Meanwhile, Forbes still has Musk as the richest, valuing his private businesses much higher than that. I'm Sue Gossman.
