President Trump said on Truth Social I'm very proud to announce that Israel and Hamas have both signed off on the first phase of our peace plan. This means that all of the hostages will be released very soon and Israel will withdraw their troops to an agreed upon line and as the first steps toward a strong, durable and everlasting peace. And Qatar's foreign Ministry also says this stage of the deal will allow the entry of aid into Gaza. Negotiators from both sides as well as the U.S. turkey and Qatar have been negotiating in Egypt. President Trump sent his thanks to the mediators and said he may be going to the Middle east in a matter of days. Joel Nadeau, Fox News.

Arraignment at the federal courthouse in Alexandria, Virginia. Former FBI Director James Comey pleaded not guilty to two counts making a false statement to Congress, an obstruction of a congressional proceeding. Both charges are tied to a 2020 Senate hearing where prosecut say Comey lied about leaks to the news media. The judge set a trial date for January 5th. Defense attorneys say they will file motions alleging a vindictive prosecution in the unlawful appointment of Acting U.S. attorney Lindsey Halligan. Hakeem Jeffries
In the White House meeting that we had last week, I made clear to the president, with Johnson and Thune sitting right there, that the reason why Leader Schumer and I demanded this meeting is because at the end of the day, nothing's going to happen on the Republican side unless Donald Trump tells them to do it.
