Just before 11am Police arrived at a home in a neighborhood near Woodman and Black Forest roads where the suspect, 37 year old Anthony Anthony Bryant, was barricaded. K9 Rome released to De escalate the situation when Bryant reportedly stabbed Rome three times in the head, neck and along his abdomen down to his left leg. Officers carrying him to a police cruiser to rush the K9 to Animal ER Care and into surgery. Vets at Animal ER Care had to amputate Rome's left hind leg and he will have to retire from the police department if he survives.
