NBC in a phone interview yesterday that, quote, iran wants to make a deal and I don't want to make it because the terms aren't good enough. Yet. He stopped short of saying what those terms are. The president announced this weekend that other countries affected by Iran's attempted closure of the Strait of Hormuz will send warships to help us secure the waterway. Democrats are calling this a war of choice with no coherent strategy or end state. But the administration continues to push the message that these economic strains are temporary.

However, Iran's foreign minister says there was no reason to talk to the US about ending the war, but that Iran was willing to talk to other countries about oil tankers moving through the Strait of Hormuz. Oil prices rising amid those straight up Hormuz blockades. Industry analysts say gas prices have jumped more than 50 cents in the last two weeks. But energy Secretary Chris Wright says that's going to be temporary. It is a short term disruption in the flow of energy. Americans are feeling it right now. Americans will feel it for a few more weeks. But at the end, we will have removed the greatest risk to global energy supplies. That is right. The Israeli military now says the Michigan synagogue attacker was the brother of of a Hezbollah commander who was killed with other family members during an Israeli strike in Lebanon earlier this month. The IDF wrote on X Hezbollah commander Ibrahim Mohamed Ghazali was responsible for managing weapons operations within a specialized branch. The unit is responsible for launching hundreds of rockets towards Israeli civilians throughout the war. On Thursday, the FBI called the Michigan synagogue attack a targeted act of violence against the Jewish community.
