Federal prosecutors state Elias Rodriguez was motivated by political bias and hatred. Rodriguez is now facing multiple charges, including murder, terrorism and hate crimes. Authorities say he planned extensively for this attack, flying to D.C. from Chicago with his gun. Investigators say surveillance video showed Rodriguez shooting 26 year old Sarah Mil Milgram and 30 year old Jerome Leshinsky after they left a young diplomat's reception at the Capitol Jewish Museum. As Milgram tried to crawl away, Rodriguez allegedly approached her and shot more rounds. Court papers state Rodriguez then went inside the museum. He displayed a red keffiyeh and said, I did it for Palestine. I did it for Gaza. And as police officers removed him from the building, he called out repalestine.

He was one of just seven Republicans to vote in favor of convicting the president during his 2021 impeachment trial. The Supreme Court has dealt a legal blow to Democrats in Virginia.
F
Last week, the Virginia attorney general launched a last ditch effort to the Supreme Court in hopes of reviving the state's plan to redraw its congressional districts to gain additional Democratic seats, asking the justices to block a May 8 ruling by the state Virginia Supreme Court that invalidated an amendment to the Virginia constitution that allowed the state's legislature to enact a law a new congressional map before the midterms. But the AG's emergency appeal found no traction at the nation's highest court, which many legal experts considered a long shot because the Virginia Supreme Court's ruling rested on its interpretation of the state's constitution.

For now, Virginia is using the current congressional map. Tens of thousands of protesters descended on London today for two demonstrations, one involving the far right and the other Palestinian supporters. At least 4,000 police officers were on the scene to try and keep the two groups apart. I'm Jane Fergus and this is FOX News.
