So far, the defense has called up six witnesses, including one teen who said this during cross examination, quote, I think Carmelo was in the wrong. Gannon Ken Van Dyke pled not guilty to charges he used his knowledge as an army soldier about US Action in Venezuela to place bets on polymarket. Today he appeared in court for a pretrial hearing at which future court dates were set up. Van Dyke is accused of using the prediction betting platform Polymarket to make more than $400,000 over the arrest of Venezuela's leader Nicolas Maduro. Outside court, Van Dijk's attorney said his client did not have a say over the events that happened and that only the president did. Van Dijk's accused of violating non disclosure agreements he signed in the army to violate the Commodity Exchange act, commit wire fraud and one count of unlawful monetary transaction.
