Police say the shooting erupted after a fight between a large group of teenagers. They arrested a 17 year old and are looking for others involved. No shooting injuries reported. It happened about 12 hours after the parade for the NBA champion New York Knicks as millions filled the streets of lower Manhattan. US military now has killed more than 200 people in attacks on suspected drug smuggling boats since the Trump administration began the operation in early September. That latest was yesterday in the eastern Pacific Ocean, which left three dead. US Southern Command did not provide evidence that the vessel was ferrying drugs. The road ahead for self driving vehicles seems a bit hazy as the federal government sends mixed signals over testing and deployment.

There's a bill right now in committee here on Capitol Hill that's been stalled there since February. It would set the rules for the road for autonomous vehicles. I spoke with the industry Inside Insider yesterday to find out why it stalled. He said in simple terms. Basically it's just Congress being Congress. It's taking them a while to get this bill moving along. Right now the general public can't buy a self driving car or truck, but the number of robo taxis and self driving delivery trucks continues to increase every single year. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. As of now, There are about 4,000 driverless taxis on the road. This is nationwide.
