A California mother due for arraignment in connection with her son's e motorcycle crash that killed an elderly man.

51 year old Tommy Jo Major faces charges including involuntary manslaughter and child endangerment. Orange County Prosec Prosecutors allege her 14 year old son was illegally riding an e motorcycle in April when he crashed into 81 year old Ed Ashman, a Vietnam War veteran and substitute teacher. Ashman died from his injuries. Officials say they warned Major on body worn camera last year that she could face criminal charges for her son's riding. California Attorney General Rob Bonta recently issuing a consumer alert stressing under state law, two wheeled vehicles that go more than 28 miles per hour with pedal assistance or 20 miles per hour with a throttle are classified as mopeds or motorcycles, which have age restrictions and require a license.
