In his address to the nation overnight, President Trump spoke about the U.S. military and the work of U.S. forces during Operation Epic Fury. The President's remarks come as indirect talks between the United States and Iran move forward. The ceasefire between the two countries does remain in place as recent regional leaders have expressed the importance of continuing the memorandum of Understanding despite the diplomatic progress. The funeral for Iran's late supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, has been a large display of Iranian propaganda as delegations from around the world travel to Tehran. The funeral will continue until July 9th with millions of Iranians participating.

Several people attending the funeral called for President Trump's death as revenge for the killing of the supreme Leader. President Trump is set to attend the NATO summit in Turkey this week as he continues to criticize the alliance for not helping the US Secure the Strait of Hormuz during the Iran conflict. British Ambassador to the U.S. christian Turner on Fox's Sunday briefing says NATO helped the U.S. in other ways.

the husband of California Democratic Representative Nancy Pelosi is once again facing legal trouble. It follows a hit and run. Fox's Alicia Acuna reports from Los Angeles.

The Napa County Sheriff's Department says Friday afternoon deputies responded to a 911 call by a witness who saw a brown convertible crash into a legally parked car and take off after briefly stopping. The California Highway Patrol caught up with a convertible. Authorities say Paul Pelosi was driving. It was heavily damaged and parked on the side of a road blocking the roadway. In a statement, the sheriff said, quote, during the investigation, Pelosi admitted to hitting something but said he didn't know what he had hit, so he kept driving. He drove until his car became disabled. A field sobriety test determined there was no alcohol in the 86 year old husband of the congresswoman.

eastern US Big change in the forecast as we saw one more really hot day yesterday, 25 different record breaking highs that largely across the mid Atlantic. Getting up into New England a little bit there, but highs hitting 100 degrees. Boy, it's been days and days of that. Finally some big showers yesterday evening and you're starting to see some of these temperatures drop. Big change from what we've seen the last couple of days where even overnight temperatures were only falling down in the mid-80s, maybe closer to 90 degrees. A lot of shower activity across the eastern half of the United States. We're really trading in heat for rain not just today, but much of the week ahead.
