And after the US Military responded last night to attacks on commercial ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz, though the president is not signaling a return to full conflict.

A University of Alabama student, her friend and a dog end up dead. Investigators say the suspect was found hiding in a family member's home.

The owner of a home in Brookwood, Alabama, called police after being unable to reach the person they'd hired to house sit. And when police entered the house, they found University of Alabama student Jasmine Bates, Jose Alvarez, Duenas and a dog had all been killed. After checking doorbell camera footage, investigators identified a suspect and ended up arresting De Kendrick Crawford, Tuscaloosa Sheriff's Captain Jack Kennedy says he'd been hiding in the attic of a family member's home.

The latest data projects sea surface temperature anomalies peaking between 3 and 4 degrees Celsius above average, which forecasters say would be historic.
