Police initially got a call regarding shots fired and a man removed from a nearby business around 2:00am well, as it turns out, police say the person who was shot was the same person who plowed their vehicle into the crowd. They say an altercation broke out between the driver and some folks in the crowd that he plowed into and someone allegedly shot the driver. Investigators are trying to figure out if the driver intentionally rammed into the crowd. Again, a lot of people were out here. It's a very busy area for nightlife.

The president took a victory lap last night at a dinner with Republican senators.

The president began by praising GOP senators for passing the so called one big beautiful bill for President. Trump singled out Senate Majority Leader John Thune for ushering the package through the chamber. Despite a slim majority, the GOP resition bill which Congress passed this week was top of mind as well. It claws back $9 billion from foreign aid and public broadcasting. The president says he's expecting more resistance bills, all of which he hopes will register well with voters next year. President Trump is also celebrating the first major cryptocurrency law in U.S. history. He signed the Bipartisan Genius act on Friday. It regulates a type of cryptocurrency called stock stablecoins.

Democratic House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries had an hour long meeting with Zoran Mamdani on Friday in Brooklyn. He called the meeting constructive, candid and community centered. But he is still not endorsing Mamdani, who won the Democratic primary in the New York City mayoral race by a wide margin. Quote, they agreed to reconvene shortly alongside other members of the New York City Congressional delegation and a few high level community leaders. That statement from a Mamdani spokesperson echoed one from Jeffrey's team. So far, just four of the 12 Democratic congressional members representing New York City or portions of it are endorsing Mamdani.
Daria Albinger
That's Fox's CB Cotton. In New York, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer has yet to endorse Mamdani. A new poll by market research company Harris X shows Mamdani leading a four man race for for New York City mayor. The survey of 585 registered voters shows him out in front of former Governor Andrew Cuomo, Republican Curtis Sliwa and the current Mayor of New York, Eric Adams. I'm Darielle Alde, this is Fox News.
