Maureen Comey said in her legal filing her July dismissal was abrupt and violated the Constitution's separation of powers clause. She is the daughter of ex FBI Director James Comey, who was fired from his post during the first Trump administration. Maureen Comey's lawsuit claims her firing came just as she began work on a major public corruption case and to date, no explanation for it has been given. Valentino Luchin, 62 years old, is in custody accused of robbing three banks in one day in San Francisco last Wednesday. Police say he handed notes to the tellers demanding money and got it. They say Luchin was identified as a suspect, in part through tips from people who recognized him. Past jobs included time as an executive chef at two Bay Area restaurants that got hot, then went under one he co owned after that. In 2018, Luchin was arrested on suspicion of robbing a bank in orinda, California, about 17 miles from San Francisco.
