This is a FOX News alert. A would be assassin is convicted on Lisa Brady Ryan Routh, guilty on all counts. In a second Trump assassination attempt on a golf course last September, he represented himself and argued there was no intent to kill his daughter, screaming that he didn't hurt anybody and that the trial was rigged as the verdict was read. But Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche tells Fox the evidence was overwhelming of Ruth stalking and researching then candidate Trump's movements and then waiting on the golf course for hours.

If it wasn't for the honestly of a rock star Secret Service agent who saw the muzzle of the gun pointing out of the bushes, who knows what would have happened. So while I'm very sympathetic to the family because of what they've had to go through, make no mistake about it, Mr. Ruth was a calculated attempted assassin.

Ruth could face life in prison when he sentenced in December. His reaction to the verdict was trying to stab himself in the neck with a pen in the courtroom before being restrained by several U.S. marshals. President Trump telling a short time ago the case was well handled and it's very important.

You can't let things like that happen. Nothing to do with me but a president or even a person. You can't allow that to happen. And so justice was served and we'll see what happens.

The president thanking everyone involved, including in a social media post the witness who spotted Ruth running from the scene and alerted law enforcement with very detailed information. This as the president continues meetings with other world leaders at the United nations and after a speech critical of the UN earlier today, at one point calling uncontrolled migration a crisis and accusing the UN of funding it. He also defended the US Withdrawal from the Paris climate change accord, arguing it hurts industrialized nations that follow the rules while any progress is wiped out by rule breaking. A federal judge in Memphis handed down four years and nine months in prison Tuesday to Lisa Janine Finley, who tried to auction off Elvis Presley's iconic Graceland estate. The 54 year old from Kimberling City, Missouri, pleaded guilty to mail fraud in February. Prosecutors say she fabricated loan documents, posed as multiple people and published a fake foreclosure notice claiming Lisa Marie Presley had borrowed 3.8 million against the property. Actress Riley Keough, Elvis's granddaughter, sued to block the sale last May, and a judge halted the fraudulent auction. Finley then tried to blame the plot on a Nigerian fraud ring.
