The president called for Israel to halt its attacks in Gaza a Friday. Though Israel has continued its strikes. A government shutdown continues after the Senate failed to end it Friday. California Democratic Senator Adam Schiff tells NBC's Meet the Press while Democrats have previously supported keeping the government open, it's different this time.

AAA says the national average is 3,13 a gallon or 7 cents less than a month ago. As usual, drivers in California are paying the most on average, 582A gallon.
