U.S. marshals say convicted killer Derrick Groves was cornered in Atlanta before being arrested following a brief standoff. Groves has evaded capture for almost five months after escaping along with nine other men from the Orleans Parish Prison on May 16. The other escapees were recaptured within weeks of that jailbreak. In Groves case, his girlfriend, who is an ex jail employee, had been arrested and charged for helping him escape.

Last month, police responded to a call from a Metro north train where they handcuffed and removed the 31 year old after a complaint over how he was sitting. O', Keefe, who is black, accused the transit officers of racial targeting.
