Another week of protests in Minnesota underway. I'm Ted Lindner, Fox News. Minnesota protests against President Trump's immigration crackdown continue into their second week. The Pentagon has ordered troops to prepare for a possible deployment to Minnesota. Fox 9 in Minneapolis, St. Paul so young Kim has the latest.

Pentagon officials have ordered 1500 troops to be ready in case of a possible deployment to Minnesota. That development was confirmed by two defense officials to the Associated Press Sunday. The official says two infantry battalions of the Army's 11th Airborne Division have been given prepare to deploy orders, so the active duty soldiers are standing by. The unit is based in Alaska and specializes in cold weather operations. They would be deployed only if President Donald Trump invokes the Insurrection act, which he threatened last week. Presidents have used the law more than two dozen times in its history. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry responding to this development on cnn, saying he will not be intimidated.

Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declaring President Trump is responsible for the upheaval. Trump firing back in an interview saying Iran needs new leadership. The Iranian president posting that an attack on the supreme leader is tantamount to war. To top it off, activists hacked into Iran's state TV and posted a message from the exiled son of the late deposed Shah of Iran calling on security forces to lay down their arms as the military pressure looms. According to new reports, the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier group is now within days of the region ready to respond if the White House calls for it.

At least three police officers hurt after violence broke out during a Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade in Los Angeles Monday. Fox 11 Los Angeles Ed Lasko says.

More LAPD mounted patrol doing crowd control, pushing back those who took to the streets, refusing to leave right after the end of the Image Day parade in south la. This after several large groups turn on each other, they start fighting with each other. It is a tense, threatening situation, out of control as one witness describes it. Then it seems the crowd turns on police throwing bottles and other projectiles that after LAPD responds to reports of a stabbing, the victim may have taken himself to the hospital or taken there by friends. Later, officers did find a second victim beaten by the Krat. The mayor condemning the violence, saying, quote, los Angeles has zero tolerance for this type of violence.

Police say multiple people were arrested. The Trump administration demanded California pay back more than a billion dollars in Medicare and Medicaid funding after accusing the state of using that money to provide health care for migrants. Fox's Marion Rafferty has more.

According to federal law, funds can be used for migrant emergency care only, not for routine or elective medicine. Now under Governor Gavin Newsom, the state's universal health care program, MEDI California, was expanded to include the undocumented. But the state says claims of any wrongdoing are flatly false and that California routinely reimburses the feds. And like California, other states have also expanded health care programs to include illegal migrants. But California recently had to pull it back and stop accepting new patients and even sometimes charge premiums.

The Trump administration's previously frozen $10 billion in funding for child care and family assistance programs to California and four other Democrat led states over accusations of possible fraud. Those states have sued to block the Freez and the Indiana Hoosiers, completing their undefeated season on Monday night as they beat The Miami Hurricanes 2721 in the CFP final. I'm Ted Lindner.
