The search for Nancy Guthrie now entering its third week without a resolution in sight. The Pima County Sheriff's Office says there are no arrests. During an operation late Friday two miles from Guthrie's home, agents detained three people at a home and one person during a trial traffic stop. All have since been released. Another search warrant was executed in Rio Rico last Tuesday. Near the border, agents are looking for a masked suspect seen in doorbell video, a man who is 5 foot 9 to 5 foot 10 inches tall.

The FBI has increased the reward for information leading to Guthrie's recovery and or conviction to $100,000. The Department of Homeland Security is shut down after funding lapsed and a stalemate over proposed ICE reforms.
Madeline Rivera
The blame game is in full swing as Democrats and Repub remain at an impasse over DHS funding. Lawmakers are now on a previously scheduled recess. They left town without a deal in hand after Senate Democrats blocked the consideration of a spending bill earlier this week. Dems say a White House offer falls short of the changes they want to see for ice. And one of their biggest demands calls for DHS officers to get a judicial warrant before entering private property. So now DHS is facing a lapse in funding, marking the third time at least part of the government has shut down its in less than six months. Remember, though, ICE received a significant amount of funding from the one big Beautiful bill.

Rubio said the U.S. wants to revitalize an old friendship because, quote, the fate of Europe will never be irrelevant to our own. He struck a firm tone about the administration's intent to reshape the alliance and push its priorities from tackling mass migration to strengthening our economies and military power. Rubio said he wants a strong Europe. Prime Minister Keir Starmer said Europe must be ready to fight and stand on its own two feet when it comes to defense commitments, even announcing that the UK Will deploy its carrier strike group to the Arctic to bolster security against Russian threats.
