A tragic Discovery. I'm Chris DeMaio, Fox News. Eight skiers have been found dead and one is still missing after an avalanche swept through part of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California Tuesday.
Unidentified Fox News Reporter
The group of 15 skiers, four guides and 11 of their clients finishing up a three day winter camping trip in Castle Peak. An avalanche warning was in effect at the time. With heavy snow and gale force winds, it took hours for some 50 rescuers to get to a group of six that managed to survive the avalanche that was described as the length of a football field. They dug their way out and were able to send text messages with their emergency beacons and call for help. Those who survived ranged in age from 30 to 55. Two were not able to walk out, but they are expected to be okay.

Fox's Claudia Cowan is the deadliest avalanche in the country since 1981. The FBI is now using genetic genealogy to try and identify the suspect in the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie. Fox's Jonathan Hunt is in Tucson, Arizona with more on the search.
Unidentified Fox News Analyst
Some interesting Internet searches for both Nancy Guthrie's home and Savannah Guthrie's salary that investigators are obviously going to want to take a look at now these are not directly from Google. They're a kind of recreation of Google trends. So there's a lot of could haves and maybes as there are with so many things in this case, but certainly something that's going to be looked at. In the meantime, having come to something of a DNA dead end in terms of matching names with the FBI's criminal database, investigators are now asking for help from private companies that look at genetic genealogy. One of those is Othram from Woodlands in Texas. They help bring to justice Brian Kohberger, the Idaho student killer and the illegal immigrant killer of Maryland mom Rachel Morin.
