Fox's Chad Pergram Congressional authorities are bolstering security on Capitol Hill. That likely means additional patrols by Capitol police and canine searches. Lawmakers were told to alter their routines, but there is no concrete threat to the Capitol. This is all amplified by the mass shooting at a bar in Austin, Texas. The gunman was a naturalized US Citizen from Senegal. He was wearing a hoodie which read, quote, property of Allah. Now, concerns about terrorism came at a perilous time. Congress has not funded the Department of Homeland security in nearly three weeks.

Israel is launching additional airstrikes in Tehran and this comes shortly after rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel. War rages on across the region. But so far this has been a phenomenally successful operation from a military perspective for the US and Israel. They've hit over 1,000 Iranian targets. Of course, in the opening, they killed Iran's supreme leader based on CIA intelligence. A senior U.S. defense official tells Fox the U.S. is focused on military targets and headquarters while Israel is doing that. But also regime change.

Officials say the gunman seen wearing a hoodie that read Property of Allah on the front of it. Sources telling FOX 3 of those hospitalized are in critical condition. Members of Congress are demanding the Trump administration brief them on the situation in Iran. More on that from Fox's Jill Naito.

The Senate's going to be hearing from War Department Secretary Pete Hegseth, Secretary of State Marco Rubio and others. And at 3:30pm Eastern time Tuesday, the House will be getting briefed at about 5. The briefings come as several lawmakers consider a war powers resolution that would restrain President Trump's attack on Iran. Both the House and Senate had already drafted resolutions long before the strike Saturday. Under the War powers Act of 1973, the President is supposed to notify Congress within 48 hours of deploying troops. Then it requires their withdrawal within 60 to 90 days unless Congress approves an extension. Jill Nadeau, FOX News and the newly
