Fox's Jennifer Griffin in Simi Valley, California were Secretary Pete Hegseth among the speakers in attendance. The cease fire between Israel and Hamas is holding, but there are questions as to how it will move forward.
Jennifer Griffin (1:05)
The fragile U. S backed cease fire in Gaza is at a critical moment as mediators try to push the next phase forward. Israel says that can't happen until the body of the one remaining hostage is returned. Phase two would require Hamas to disarm and Israeli forces to eventually fully withdraw. The interim government, overseen by an international body, would also take over some. Since the ceasefire began in October, 20 living hostages and the remains of 27 others have been returned. Israel also carried out a number of deadly airstrikes.
