Last year, a jury convicted Groves of two counts of second degree murder for killing Jamar Robinson and Byron Jackson at a 2018 Mardi Gras party and two counts of attempted murder in the same shooting. The judge said Groves showed no remorse and sentenced him for the four crimes to two life terms in prison plus two consecutive 50 year.
