This is one of the busiest travel days of the year, the day after Christmas. And this was not what people had on their wish list. We saw a few flights take off. We also saw planes being deiced. But one of the last arrivals from Terminal a was at 5pm right as the snow began to fall. A couple of planes have taken off since. However, a representative from spirit Airlines told Fox 5 there are no available flights until Wednesday. And that's because it's a combination of the flight cancellation as well as a busy two week stretch heading into the holiday.

San Francisco police officers say they shut down traffic and evacuated an area around SFO's Domestic Terminal 1 after a police canine dog trained to detect explosives flagged a suspicious unattended package for more than two hours. Traffic backed up as passengers trying to make their flights had to find a way around through other terminals. 10:30am Police determined Terminal 1 was safe to reopen. The chaos added to an already stressful travel day. Strong winds at SFO combined with bad weather in Southern California and severe snowstorms on the east coast led to canceled flights and delays.
