He says he'll use tariffs to get Greenland. I'm Carmen Roberts, Fox News. President Trump says he would impose tariffs on eight European countries unless Denmark agrees to, in his words, the complete and total purchase of Greenland. GOP Senator Pete Ricketts tells Fox News that he agrees with the president that the Danish territory is essential to US national defense.

This is just the beginning of talking through where we can end up, but it's very clear that we needed to protect ourselves. We, we need to be able to invest and have certainty with regard to those investments to be able to protect our northern flank. And I believe that's what the president is pursuing to be able to make sure that he keeps Americans safe.

The president says next month he would slap 10% tariffs on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Britain, the Netherlands and Finland. And if there is no deal to buy Greenland by June, he would raise the tariffs to 25%. The US launches another strike on ISIS targets in Syria as continued retaliation for an ISIS gunman killing two U.S. soldiers and an American interpreter last month.

U.S. central Command, which is the group that oversees military operations in that region in the Middle east as well as parts of Asia. They say that a strike resulted in the death of a leader affiliated with Al Qaeda who had direct ties to an ISIS terrorist responsible for that ambush attack on those two service members, as well as an American civilian interpreter. So far, they say there have been 100 targets that have been hit all over Syria. Syria related to ISIS targets.
