President Trump says he would impose tariffs on eight European countries unless Denmark agrees to, in his words, the complete and total purchase of Greenland. GOP Senator Pete Ricketts tells Fox News that he agrees with the president that the Danish territory is essential to US national defense.

And I believe that's what the president is pursuing to be able to make sure that he keeps Americans safe.

The president says next month he would slap 10% tariffs on Denmark, Norway, Sweden, France, Germany, Britain, the Netherlands and Finland. And if there is no deal to buy Greenland by June, he would raise the tariffs to 25%. The US launches another strike on ISIS targets in Syria as continued retaliation for an ISIS gunman killing two U.S. soldiers and an American interpreter last month.

U.S. central Command, which is the group that oversees military operations in that region in the Middle east as well as parts of Asia. They say that a strike resulted in the death of a leader affiliated with Al Qaeda who had direct ties to an ISIS terrorist responsible for that ambush attack on those two service members, as well as an American civilian interpreter. So far, they say there have been 100 targets that have been hit all over Syria. Syria related to ISIS targets.

Fox's Madeleine Rivera reporting. A US Judge bars federal officials and officers from using tear gas and other chemical irritants against peaceful protesters in the Minneapolis area. U.S. district Judge Kate Menendez ruled the case and that had been filed by activists in the Minnesota area. Government attorneys argued the officers are just using their legal authority. That huge Artemis II rocket is expected to finish its very slow trek to a Kennedy Space center launch pad tonight as NASA prepares for its first moon mission in decades. The Orion spacecraft will carry four astronauts to the moon. But no landing this time to flyby. That launch may happen as early as February 6th. Scientists say they have discovered physical evidence connected to a long held suspicion about.

Prehistoric times when dinosaurs mated. It got a little rough. That might not come as a major revelation, but some top paleontologists now say they can prove it. The journal Eye Science citing fossil evidence that mating between some dinosaurs was so violent that that they literally broke each other's bones. Fossils from the 3 ton duck billed dinosaur showed a number of broken bones and fractured spines sitting on top of its tail's vertebrae. Democrats reject the plan and argue tax credits offer more benefits for Americans. And it is a deal. The New York Giants hired John Harbaugh as head coach today. A person familiar with the matter told the Associated Press that the two sides began working on a five year contract Wednesday night when it became clear that Harbaugh was the right F. And he joins the Giants 11 days after he was fired by the Baltimore Ravens, who made the playoffs 12 times with him in charge and won the super bowl in the 2012 season. I'm Carmen Roberts.
