The president standing by his DHS secretary but pulling out a border patrol commander and sending border czar Tom Holman to Minnesota where he met today with the governor and the Minneapolis mayor. The president speaking in Iowa, the first stop on weekly trips planned ahead of the midterm elections. A circuit court judge in Virginia just ruling that a proposed constit amendment letting Democrats redraw that state's congressional maps was illegal due to a technicality involving the process under state law. It's one of several redistricting fights around the country. Many Senate Democrats are refusing to support a DHS funding bill passed by the House because ICE is part of dhs.

The problem is that DHS funding bill is tied to five other funding bills. So if it fails, they all fail. Several House Democrats are urging their colleagues in the Senate to utilize their leverage even if if it means causing a shutdown.

A now 19 year old identified as KGM and her mother accused social media companies of knowingly creating features that led to the teen's depression, self harm and suicidal thoughts. The case is being heard in California state court with TikTok settling and Snapchat's parent company Snap settling last week. The remaining defendants at the first of its kind trial are Meta and Google, the owners of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp and YouTube. A rep for Meta tells Fox News, we strongly disagree with these allegations and are confident the evidence will show our long standing commitment to supporting young people.
