A possible break in the case. I'm Carmen Roberts, FOX News. After searching for Nancy Guthrie for two weeks, investigators may have caught a break. The FBI says that DNA from a glove found near the Tucson home appears to match a glove worn by a masked person outside her front door the night that Guthrie vanished.

This glove or gloves that were found about two miles away on the side of the road could, and the operative word here is could, become a key piece of evidence. Investigators say that this glove or gloves look similar to the ones that were worn by the suspect when he was captured on that surveillance video at Nancy, Nancy Guthrie's home. And potentially these gloves could link the suspect, could help in identifying the suspect. Now, at least one glove was sent to a private lab in Florida for DNA testing, arriving at the lab on Friday. According to the FBI, the preliminary results are now in and they're waiting on official confirmation by before putting the unknown male profile into the FBI's DNA database called CODIS.

Lawmakers are at a stalemate on funding for homeland security and that triggered another partial government shutdown.
G
This time it's impacting DHS specifically as Democrats and Republicans along with the president were unable to agree on proposed ICE reform. DHS still has most of its funding, but agencies including tsa, FEMA and the Coast Guard are impacted. The rest of the government is funded through the end of September. Another big difference this time is air traffic controllers are being paid as necessary employees while TSA agents are not being paid. During the last shutdown, neither group was paid. Travel experts are warning of longer security lines at airports telling travelers to be prepared. And a reminder, those TSA agents are working without pay. Ann Carrick, FOX News.

Fox's Jared Halpern and the flags dropped and the drivers are racing as the world turns its attention to the Daytona 500. And this year, William Byron may make history in the 68th running of the Great American race as Madison Scarpino got the chance to speak to him.
I
He won the Daytona 500 in 2024, 2025. As you said, if he wins again this year, it would be a three peat, the first ever in the history of this race. He tells us that of course he wants to get a win, but he's just going to go into this race like he does every other one. He says a lot of it's out of his control, but he's just going to do the best that he can. The stands are packed with fans here at Daytona International Speedway. Another thing about this year's Daytona 500 is the purse is the largest ever in than $31 million.
