Researchers say the risk of Alzheimer's declines sharply with one daily change in lifestyle physical activity in both mid and late life, it's linked to less dementia risk.

In a recent study, the researchers analyzed the individual's physical activity throughout three life stages early adult that's ages 26 to 44 midlife, that's ages 45 to 64 and late life, ages 65 to 88. Those in the top two fifths of midlife physical activity were associated with a 40% lower all cause dementia risk over a 26 year period compared to those with the lowest activity level. The active participants in the late life group saw a 36 to 45% lower risk over 15 years.
