But Putin's not showing any signs of willingness and in fact is stepping up attacks in Ukraine.

Ukrainian officials say Russia is trying to weaponize winter, denying access to heat, light and running water for the fourth consecutive winter. Kyiv residents spent the night in shelters saying despite despite the progress in peace talks, they don't see an end in sight. Meanwhile, two Russian Shadow fleet tankers were struck by Ukrainian drones in the Black Sea. Kyiv's goal has been to deprive Moscow of the oil export revenue it needs to continue the war. And despite his chief of staff resigning yesterday, President Zelensky announced a Ukrainian delegation is en route to the U.S. fox's.

Stephanie Bennett in London. After the shooting of two national guard troops in D.C. this week, allegedly by an Afghan national. The Trump administration is pausing all asylum decision and the issuing of visas to anyone traveling with an Afghan passport. Meantime, the West Virginia hometown of the National Guard member killed Sarah Buxtrom is remembering her and her fellow Guard member Andrew Wolf remains in critical condition. We are learning more about a Virginia fugitive football coach.

The family of missing Union High School coach Travis Turner now saying he left his home with a gun right before he vanished into a heavily wooded area. Turner was under investigation for multiple counts of child pornography. He was last seen at his Appalachia home on November 20, the same day a family friend claimed that he disappeared with a weapon. Police were reportedly on their way to his home to question him about those allegations on the day he disappeared. Travis Turner's family has denied the allegations against him, but they are cooperating with law enforcement. Paul Stevens, FOX News America's listening to FOX News.

President Trump tells airlines to consider Venezuelan airspace closed. He made that announcement online today as he continues his crackdown on drug smuggling. Venezuela reacted by accusing the Trump administration of behaving like an old style colonial empire. The number of airlines, a number of them have started rerouting flights away from the country's airspace. Airlines around the world are rushing to fix an Airbus A320 and then fleet after the company recalled the planes for what may be a quick software update.

Airbus says it's as simple as doing a software upgrade that takes a couple hours. The A320 is one of the most popular plane models in the world, and the recall impacted more than 6,000 jets. So the question is, how long will it take to get all of these planes back in the air? Well, we checked with airlines. As of 10am American Airlines said they had only four planes down. And both Delta and United tell us they've already done the upgrades to most of their planes. They say that operations are no longer affected.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy says that all impacted US Airlines have reported great progress in fixing the problem with those Airbus A3 20s after the company recalled them. And Duffy says the affected carriers are on track to meet the FAA's deadline to complete the updates. California police evacuated a mall filled with Black Friday shoppers after a shooting left three people injured. San Jose police say it was an isolated incident and that the wounded were taken to a hospital. And British playwright Tom Stoppard won the Academy Award for a screenplay of 1998, Shakespeare in Love, and he has died at age 88.
