That's Fox's Jonathan Savage. The potential deal to end the conflict has oil prices plunging down 8%. But at the gas pump, there's another nickel increase, putting AAA's national average for regular at $4.53 per gallon. He wasn't on the ballot, but President Trump had a big impact on the primaries in Indiana.

Todd the results in Indiana were a clear display of President Trump influence over the gop. The five Republican state Senate incumbents who lost to Trump backed challengers overnight. All opposed the president's push to redraw the state's congressional map. One incumbent survived. Another race has yet to be called. A Republican source says Team Trump operatives put in a lot of money into these races, heavily outraising the incumbents.

Fox's Madeline Rivera. Several other states have done redistricting to help Republicans, including Texas and soon Florida, with more GOP led states considering it. Democrats have countered with new maps in California and Virginia. Virginia and maybe New York next. There were also primaries in Ohio.

Cole Allen is now facing a fourth charge on a grand jury indictment in a case against the suspect in the White House correspondent's dinner attack last month. That new charge, assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon. He's accused of firing a shot that hit a Secret Service agent in the bulletproof vest. Alan is also charged with attempting to assassinate the president. Someone else is accused of threatening the president in an email.
Lisa Brady
The 35 year old suspect in New Hampshire has been on the federal radar for several months. Court documents show Dean delachay was questioned at his Nashua home in February by Secret Service agents who said he told them he's depressed, owns three guns and used his work computer for search topics including how to get a gun into a federal facility and previous assassination attempts. He was suspended from his job as an FAA contractor after being reported for asking the tech department to delete his search history. Then in April, federal prosecutors say he used his personal email account to send a mess to the White House, that he would kill the president. He's facing an interstate communication threat charge. Summary:
This hour's FOX News update covers the US pause in a Gulf military operation for negotiations with Iran, political ripple effects from GOP primaries, criminal cases involving presidential threats, a death row ruling in South Carolina, and major moves in U.S. financial markets and sports.
The episode's central focus is breaking developments in U.S.–Iran relations—specifically, the suspension of a naval operation in the Strait of Hormuz to make room for diplomacy—and how this event reverberates through global oil markets, American politics, and beyond.
[00:03] Dave Anthony introduces the top story:
"Will a pause lead to a deal?"
President Trump announced on Truth Social that the U.S. is halting Project Freedom—a military operation that began Monday to escort oil tankers stranded in the Strait of Hormuz due to the ongoing conflict with Iran.
[00:18] Jonathan Savage elaborates:
"The president says this is to allow space for negotiations. Iran declaring it's because the project was a failure."
The operation's pause opens space for negotiations. Iran counters, calling the project itself a failure.
[00:20] Secretary of State Marco Rubio has declared "Operation Epic Fury" (a previous mission) completed—with all its aims achieved.
[00:26] Axios reports both sides are close to an initial conflict-ending agreement, which would include a framework for future nuclear negotiations.
[00:43] Dave Anthony underlines economic fallout:
"The potential deal to end the conflict has oil prices plunging down 8%. But at the gas pump, there's another nickel increase, putting AAA's national average for regular at $4.53 per gallon."
Despite falling oil prices, U.S. gas prices tick up.
[01:00] Todd (reporting, indirectly):
"The results in Indiana were a clear display of President Trump influence over the GOP. The five Republican state Senate incumbents who lost to Trump backed challengers overnight. All opposed the president's push to redraw the state's congressional map. One incumbent survived. Another race has yet to be called."
Trump-backed candidates ousted five Indiana GOP incumbents who opposed his redistricting efforts. Team Trump poured money into these races, heavily out-raising incumbents.
[01:25] Dave Anthony and Madeline Rivera:
Several other Republican-controlled states (Texas, soon Florida, others considering) are pursuing new maps to benefit the GOP, while Democrats push back in California and Virginia and eye New York.
[01:39] Further primary updates:
"We will deliver you lower costs, bigger paychecks and better schools." (Vivek Ramaswamy, paraphrased platform)
[02:40] Dave Anthony reports:
Cole Allen, suspect in the White House Correspondents’ Dinner attack, faces a new charge—assaulting an officer with a deadly weapon (after allegedly shooting a Secret Service agent's vest)—on top of an assassination attempt charge.
[03:02] Lisa Brady details a separate presidential threat case:
"The 35 year old suspect in New Hampshire has been on the federal radar for several months."
Dean Delachay, already suspended as an FAA contractor, allegedly sent an April email threatening to kill the president, after searches for strategies on carrying out attacks. He faces an interstate communication threat charge.
[03:41] Dave Anthony signals a legal development:
A judge blocked the execution of John Wood.
[03:46] Chris DeMaio explains:
"The judge upholding John Wood's lawyer's claim that he can't be executed due to a mental illness that has him believing he's immortal. Judge Grace Nye ruled Wood lacks the ability to rationally communicate with his lawyers and doesn't have factual understanding of his crimes or why he's being punished."
Wood, convicted for killing a trooper in 2000, is ruled mentally unfit for execution.
[04:09] Dave Anthony (markets):
"Reports of that potential deal to stop the Iran conflict have stock futures rising the day after a surge that lifted the Dow 356 points and set the NASDAQ and the S&P 500 to record highs..."
