State media claims that Iran has seized an oil tanker. Oil prices, they are up slowly, slightly, but gas is down a penny today after a big spike up the last couple of weeks at the pump. The court for international trade called illegal the next wave of tariffs the President imposed under a different statute after the Supreme Court struck down his first tariffs in February's unconstitutional. The new ruling on only affects the plaintiffs leaving in place the tariffs for the others. The US Is sending a plane to Spain's Canary Islands where a cruise ship stricken by hantavirus outbreak will dock tomorrow. The plane will fly the 17American nuns on board back to the U.S. all the passengers are in quarantine with eight suspected hantavirus cases. Three of those died. we'll get the monthly jobs report later this morning. Expected to show a big hiring slowdown in April, and economists predict no change in the unemployment rate, which was at 4.3% in March. On Wall street ahead of the report, stock futures have been rising. The day after selling dropped the Dow down 313 points. The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 fell from their record highs more than two years before the Summer Olympics in Los angeles. Police in LA estimate it's going to cost more than $1.1 billion to secure the events for the games. But the LAPD says it can only cover about a third of that and will need help securing the Olympics from other law enforcement agencies. Soccer's World cup starts next month with the first match in the LA area and a lot of venues across America need to be secured.
