Alexis McAdams
Government Accountability Office report, which was released by Senator Chuck Grassley, the agency knew there was a threat to Trump's life for, but it did not alert local law enforcement or their own teams who were there on the ground. Though the agency is not sharing what type of threat it was, the Secret Service says it has made changes to address these failures to ensure nothing like this will ever happen again. The family of Cory Comparator, who was shot and killed that day, is still pushing for answers. And then also we're learning in this report that the Secret Service did not have a drone up that day. We knew about that when we were out there on the ground, but this is why the drone was broken. So this drone operator who was also a new agent, says he had one hour of training for that drone.

The report also found that the agent who was supposed to secure the rally site was new and it was her first event. Reports say Attorney General Pam Bondi has fired about 20 lawyers, support staff and U.S. marshals that work for the former special counsel who investigated President Trump. Fox's Jill Nadeau has details from Washington.

Several sources say people have been fired who worked with special Counsel Jack Smith. Those people believed to have looked into classified records found at President Trump's Mar A Lago home, as well as the president's efforts to overturn the 2020 election. Since January, the Justice Department has been dismissing employees who worked on issues involving Trump, citing the president's executive powers under the constitution. At least 37 people who worked on Smith's team have been fired since Trump took office. Smith himself resigned his post back in January.
