This follows a new warning from President Trump on Wednesday when he posted to True Social saying from this point forward, anytime the Islamic Republic of Iran shoots at a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether it be by missile, rocket, drone or any other device or weapon, the United States will bomb and destroy one bridge or power plant. While no vessels were attacked in the Strait overnight, a Saudi owned oil tanker was targeted in the Red Sea by Houthi forces in Yemen.

And oil prices are rising even more, nearly 4%. WTI is at a six week high. It's back to around 90 bucks a barrel. Gas is up another 3 cents today. Triple A's national average for regular 409 a gallon. But President Trump insists a lot of prices have come down lately.

That was at a rally for Republicans in Georgia, though. In a new Fox News poll, 76% rate the economy only fair or poor. 53% say if the elections were today, they'd vote for a Democrat for Congress. Now. The president went to Marietta, Georgia after attending the dignified transfer ceremony honoring four American troops killed last week in the Iran conflict. As they returned in flag draped caskets, the family of one of them, First Lieutenant Tyler Feehan, flew with the president to the rally.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio met Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at the ASEAN summit in the Philippines. We're not being given many details, but it was expected Secretary Rubio would try to revive efforts to end the war in Ukraine. A State Department spokesman confirmed the two men discussed efforts to conclude that conflict. In a statement, Foreign Minister Lavrov said said he reaffirmed Russia's readiness for a diplomatic and political settlement. Russia wants to go back to proposals put forward by Presidents Trump and Putin when they met in Alaska last August. Jonathan Savage, FOX News.
