But there are still many remaining votes in Wayne county, the state's most populous county where Detroit is located. Stevens is leading there by about 4 percentage points with roughly 18% of the votes still remaining. The focus remains on the Strait of Hormuz, a critical international waterway that handles roughly 20% of the world's oil and LNG trade. Centcom released a statement saying the southern route through the Strait of Hormuz remains free and open for all commercial vessels seeking to transit the international waterway. Right now, talks are ongoing between Iran and Oman aimed at reaching an understanding on control of the strait.

Federal agents say Jeanine John Tayle is facing charges after he was spotted suspiciously walking the grounds at Trump National Golf Course in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. Investigators say Tayle had a loaded pistol and a 16 round magazine.

That's Tom Graham. America's listening to Fox News. Hundreds of homes and other buildings are now ashes and rubble in the Spokane, Washington area where three wild wildfires rage still uncontained. One of them was set and the arson suspect made his first court appearance.

The defendant, appearing by video from jail, gave his name for the record, Aaron Forrest. He's been charged with intentionally setting the wildfire that has destroyed hundreds of structures and forced tens of thousands to evacuate areas near Spokane County. Prosecutor Preston A column asked for a

million along with other conditions, which the judge agree to after Farinacci's lawyer reserved the right to argue bonding conditions later. And one of the deadly and destructive wildfires in the Los Angeles area in 2025 was also a suspected arson. Another one, though, being blamed on a utility company, Southern California Edison. Fire officials say it was arcing from a transmission tower that sparked the deadly Eaton fire. Another Catholic archdiocese is dealing with a court case related to priest sexual abuse.

A US Bankruptcy court clearing the way for clergy abuse claimants to move ahead with an estimated half billion dollar lawsuit. Judge Heather Cooper says creditors can pursue not only the highest level of bank and building holdings, but also possession of nearly 70 parishes of the Vermont Diocese. It filed for Chapter 11 protection two years ago, arguing that a series of pre misconduct settlements reduced its financial holdings in half to about $35 million. Chris DiMeo, Fox News.
