President Trump also posted on Truth Social when those tariffs went into effect after midnight. Billions of dollars are now flowing in.

The tariffs will be between 10 and 41% applied to nearly 70 countries. These import taxes will reach a level not seen in this country in nearly a century. Now, the president also signed an executive order slapping 2025% tariffs on India now and another 25% for Russian oil imports. So 50% are doubling them by August 27th.

The president made his comments at an event with Apple which is adding 100 billion more dollars to its already half trillion dollar pledge to invest in the U.S. now, he threatened a 100% tariff on imported semiconductor chips unless the manufacturer also makes chips here or is building a plant to make them. A Trump deadline for Russia to stop the war in Ukraine looms tomorrow. Secretary of State Marco Rubio tells FOX Business hopefully if things continue to an opportunity will present itself very soon for the president to meet both with Vladimir Putin and with President Zelensky at some point here, hopefully in the near future. Now, a short time ago, Russia announced there will be a meeting perhaps next week between Presidents Trump and Putin. The man already charged with murdering two Israeli embassy employees outside the Capital Jewish Museum in May now facing federal hate crimes charges. That's what Elias Rodriguez was heard shouting after he was arrested. He could face the death penalty. United planes are flying again as the airline catches up to a technical glitch that grounded flights last night for several hours, canceling and delaying more than 1200, leaving a lot of passengers stuck in Chicago, Denver, Newark and Houston. I'm a little irritated because I we, you know, we're ready to go home. There are residual issues. More than 100 United flights canceled today and more than 100 also delayed. S soldiers are in recovery the day after a mass shooting at their base in Georgia.

Mutual aid requests for a gunshot wound on Fort Stewart.

That call went out late morning after the army says a sergeant opened fire, wounding those five until others tackled him.

Cornelius Radford is a 28 year old sergeant at Fort Stewart. The post's leader, Brigadier General John Lubas, said as the investigation began the shooting.

Occurred at the soldier's place of work. It did involve his co workers. We're still not certain about the motivations.

Officials did say Radford used his own gun, not a military issued weapon, in the attack. General Lubas said investigators did uncover information as they dug into his background.

He was arrested locally for a DUI that was unknown to his chain of command.
