A push for peace. I'm Debra Valentine, Fox News. President Trump is quick to take action following Friday's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska over ending Russia's war in Ukraine. Fox's Anita Vogel has the latest.
Anita Vogel
President Trump is pushing for a trilateral summit with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin by next Friday. He says that hinges on Monday's White House meeting with Zelensky and other European leaders. Trump is he's also now shifting his focus to reaching a lasting peace deal between Russia and Ukraine instead of just a ceasefire. This all comes just hours after what's being called a productive one on one meeting between Trump and Putin in Alaska. As of now, Putin reportedly wants all of the eastern Ukraine's Donbass region in exchange for freezing the current front lines. Putin would also apparently agree to not attack Ukraine or other European nations again.

Sources tell Fox News President Trump is supporting Putin's proposal to take control of Ukraine's Donbas region. The families of Israeli hostages in Gaza lead a protest in Israel calling for a nationwide day of stoppage to push for the release of the 50 remaining Hamas hostages and the end of the war in Gaza. Speaking in Tel Aviv today, Lishai Lavi Mehran, the wife of October 7 hostage Amri Mehran, echoes those calls.
Lishai Lavi Mehran
We decide to call to everyone in Israel, to all the citizens to stop take over day and stop all the all the country in wine saying please release the hostages, bring them home and stop the war.

Israel announced Saturday they're planning a military offensive against Hamas in some of the Gaza Strip's most populated areas. America's listening to Fox News.

Government has ordered Air Canada's striking flight attendants to come back to work and to negotiate for a new contract using an arbitrator. Speaking Saturday, Canadian Jobs Minister Patty Hydo says the dispute is the newest threat to Canada's economy.
Patty Hydo
As Minister of Labour, I have exercised my authorities under section 107 of the Canadian Labor Code to direct the Canada Industrial Relations Board to order the parties to resume and continue their operations and duties in order to secure industrial peace and protect the interests of Canada, Canadians and the economy.

In a statement posted to social media, the union representing the striking Air Canada flight attendant says the jobs minister is crushing the free speech rights of the striking employees. The strike has canceled the flights of about 130,000 Air Canada users. Eight months of negotiations failed to produce a contract agreement over salary, benefits and pensions. Hurricane Aaron forecast to begin pulling away from the Leeward and Virgin Islands later today bringing dangerous conditions to the Eastern seaboard this week. Fox 35 Orlando meteorologist Lauren Batchard has an update.

From Sunday to about Thursday you will notice those waves are going to be huge. We're talking large breaking waves, strong long swells. So this is going to be perfect for surfers but any swimmers, this is quite literally life threatening surf right here. So large breaking waves, strong rip currents. My best advice, stay out of the water if you can and as we do take a look a little bit closer to home. We are going to once again be seeing anywhere between 8 and 12 foot surf as we take a look from about Sunday to Thursday before we start to see those waters really start to calm down.
Debra Valentine
Life threatening rip currents and surf are forecast for the Eastern Seaboard. Hurricane Erin is not forecast however to make a direct hit on the U Mainland. I'm Deborah Valentine. This is Fox.
