Big win for the great state of Texas. I'm Dave Anthony, Fox News. President Trump posted that on Truth Social reacting to this. 88 ayes, 52 nays, House Bill 4 passes to engrossment. The Texas House approved congressional redistricting that could give Republicans five more seats in the U.S. house in next year's elections. The GOP led state Senate could pass those new maps tonight. Dozens of Democrats blocked the votes for weeks leaving the state, but they've returned and state Rep. Jean Woo says this.

Judge Richard Berman's ruling follows another judge's decision not to release released grand jury transcripts in the case against Epstein's former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell. We don't have the new arrest numbers from Washington yesterday, but before that there have been 550 in President Trump's D.C. crime crackdown as the Justice Department investigates alleged manipulation of police statistics city leaders have touted showing a big drop in violent crime this year and last year. Some D.C. residents are angry about National Guard troops deployed there and they let Vice President Vance hear about it when he and the defense secretary visited some soldiers.
