It's been one week since Charlie Kirk was assassinated. I'm Dave Anthony. FOX news. And his accused killer has another court date later this month. After Tyler Robinson's first appearance via video. The only time that he spoke was when he confirmed his name. He was wearing a special suicide prevention vest and he showed no emotion as the judge read off the charges against him. These are the charges he's facing, the most significant of which is aggravated murder. And the Utah county district attorney says he will be seeking the death penalty in this case. The prosecutor, Utah County Attorney Jeff Gray, detailed some of the evidence at a news conference, including text messages between Robinson and his roommate, romantic partner. Robinson. Why did I do it? Roommate? Yeah, Robinson. I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out. If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. In a hearing, Republican Senator Josh Hawley asked FBI Director Cash Patel. Patel about Robinson's messages with others in a chat group. You're trying to run down all of that to see if that's accurate. Who else may have been on that thread, what they may have known? Is that fair to say it's a lot more than that and we're running them all down. It's a lot more than 20? Yes, sir. Another execution in Iran following Israel's military attacks in June targeting Iran's nuclear program. It is the eighth person hanged since that time. The man put to death was accused of spying for Israel, though human rights activists say he was tortured into a false confession. This as Israel continues its new offensive against Hamas, troops and tanks pushing deeper into Gaza City have taken down more high rise buildings that Israel calls towers of terror. Palestinian officials say that Israeli strikes overnight killed another 16 people. Drones are being used more and more in wars there and in Ukraine, and they're also being used more here in the US In a House hearing focused on security threats, Arizona Republican Andy Biggs said those drone threats need urgent attention as criminals use drones more and more for smuggling drugs and weapons across the U. S Mexican border, surveilling law enforcement and in some cases experimenting with weaponization. Drone expert Brett Feddersen testified the drone environment has changed significantly. It has quickly gone from a distant concern to clear and present danger to our national security. He provided a disturbing example. A drone with a small payload could cause widespread disruption and economic turmoil by damaging power stations, water treatment plants, communication towers or data centers. And says there needs to be a national framework for counter drone operations. Ken Yuretsky, Fox News. The markets overwhelmingly believe there'll be a quarter of a point rate cut. Announced revisions to the job data shows that the labor market's in a much weaker spot coming into the Trump administration than first thought.
