That's fox's Madeline Rivera. The president also made news at the memorial, saying he'll make an announcement today, a medical announcement purporting to reveal a cause of autism. Later today, the president goes to New York to meet with world leaders at the United nations as the General assembly begins. He'll speak there tomorrow. And one big issue is recognizing a Palestinian state as Israel keeps waging war in Gaza. Australia, Britain and Canada will join France doing that.

The US And Israel are opposed to it. On CBS Face the Nation, French President Emmanuel Macron said recognizing a Palestinian state is a diplomatic strike against Hamas.

California is taking on President Trump with a new law that won't take effect till next year that his administration plans to challenge in court. Saying the state has no jurisdiction over federal law enforcement.

California governor Gavin Newsom signed a new law Saturday banning law enforcement officers from wearing face coverings which conceal their identities. The governor explaining the need for the law.
