Since President Trump returned to the White House, there have been dozens of attacks on ICE officers. Now a fatal shooting at an ICE facility in Dallas, killing the detainee and wounding two others. The shooter has been identified as 29 year old Joshua John. He left behind ammunition that appears to be five rounds of 8 millimeter Mauser on a stripper clip with the words anti ICE written on one of the bullets.

A federal judge ruled it is unconstitutional to tie federal disaster funding from FEMA to cooperation on immigration enforcement actions. District Court Judge William Smith called the contested conditions arbitrary and capricious. A group of 20 Democratic attorneys general filed the federal lawsuit in May after the administration threatened to withhold billions of dollars in disaster relief funds unless states agreed to certain immigration actions. Related this morning, President Trump will host Turkey's leader for talks, talking about the war in Gaza and Russia, Russia's war in Ukraine. Days after the president called out NATO allies like Turkey that continue to buy Russian oil, which he says funds the war, there are reports the president's newly appointed U.S. attorney in Virginia will ask a grand jury to indict former FBI Director James Comey for allegedly lying to Congress. The probe centers on whether he lied during his September 30, 2020 testimony about his handling of the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
